As some of you may know I am an army wife. My husband will be finishing his 22 year service next year. Before we met I was a "pads brat" lol. My step dad was in the army too and we were posted to germany which is where we met. Him straight out of training and me straight out of school.
So Remembrance day has been a huge part of our lives for forever. Probably even bigger part since we had our kids. Every year we all sit and watch the march past the cenotaph and talk about those in years gone by. About what they gave us and why it's important they are remembered today.
As my photography developed I started making images for my husband for remembrance day. He shares them with friends on social media and it gives them all something unique and unifying to share on the same day once a year.
I created personal images for families of lost friends and family members who have gone before us like my husbands grandad. I thought I would share just some of those here.
I hope you enjoy them, and I hope your too take a moment to just remember the sacrifice of those of years gone by.
